I have been SO excited to do this outfit ever since I started this website on May 9, 2010, and it is finally here! The rest of the first paragraph is going to be talking about the website and not the clothes and makeup, so if you just want to skip this, then go right ahead (but know that the rest of this paragraph is a HUGE thank you). When I started this website, it was to get away from my old life (which I will talk about in the next blog post), and it has completely changed my entire life! I mean, I still live in the same house and everything, and my family is still the same, but nothing else is! I am now girly (to some extent), and I can wear skirts without people making a HUGE deal about it, and I have really boosted my confidence too! So thank you so much! Now let's get onto the outfit!
Clothes. You will need to wear a grey shirt that has some sort of an edge to it (your decision). Over the shirt, you should wear a vest (denim) because it will still be pretty warm outside, and you don't need a sweatshirt yet. You should wear a skirt that hits right above your knees too. The skirt should be either a darker color with no details, or a light color with edgy details... take your pick. Depending on the weather wearing tights is optional. I recently picked up an adorable pair of tights from Forever 21, and they are a beige color, with knitted out holes in them. That was a terrible description of the tights, but it was all that I could think of (LOL).
Accessories. You should wear your favorite necklace, and also a few bangles around the wrist that you don't write with to give your look a bit of flare. You can add a funky ring too (Forever 21 rings are great)!
Shoes. For the first few days of school, we don't have P.E., so it is easier to wear shoes other than tennis shoes. I will be wearing a pair of buckle flats, with exteriors that are similar to moccasins. I might wear boots, but for now, just the flats (I forgot to tell you that the flats are beige).
Nails. I will be giving myself either french tips, or a chest nut color of nails (both are great for autumn), but just pick an autumn color, or any color that you find appropriate.
Makeup. Before I tell you about the makeup, you should know that if you don't own one or more of the items, then just try to complete the look without them. Also, if you own the product, but don't find it appropriate to wear to school, then just skip the product. This will be a nude look, meaning that no one will be able to tell you are wearing makeup. Start with a foundation primer. This will make your makeup stay on all day without having to touch it up at school. Next, apply concealer to your under eye circles, and any other places where you have imperfections or blemishes (ZITS). Then, take a powder or liquid foundation (powder for low coverage, liquid for higher coverage). I will be wearing a liquid foundation. If your foundation does not have an SPF of at least 15, then wear an SPF 15 moisturizer under all of your makeup. If you applied a powder foundation, then skip this step. You should set your liquid foundation with a pressed or loose translucent powder. This will also make your makeup stay on longer throughout the day. After that, apply blush to the apples of your cheeks. Next, apply bronzer using the 3E method. If you don't know what the 3E method is, then comment asking me, and I will explain. Now it is time to move on to your eyes. Take a black pencil eyeliner, and line your lower lash line. Then, take a liquid or gel eyeliner, and line your upper lash line. Afterwards, take a nude eyeshadow, and pat it onto your lids. Next, Curl your eyelashes. Then, take a volumizing mascara, in black or a blackish brown color, and coat your eyelashes with 2 coats of mascara. After that, take a clear mascara, and coat your eyebrows with it. This will make them stay in place and tidy ALL day. Then, take a nude lipliner of lipstain, and apply it to your lips. Lastly, coat your lips in a clear lip gloss.
Hair. If you don't have the tools for the following hairstyle, then braid your hair in two braids. Straighten all of your hair, and then curl the ends. If you don't want to spend too much time on it in the morning, then take your shower at night, and blow dry your hair, and flat iron it at night. Then touch up the flat ironing in the morning, and curl the ends.
Questions. If you have any questions whatsoever, then go ahead and comment, and I will reply to your comment ASAP.
