Hello everyone... I hope that you're all having a good day! I always mention a certain concept to people, and whenever I do, they always say something along the lines of "Oh! I totally know what you mean, didn't know everyone had those!" So I thought that I should do a whole blog post on it! Here we go...
Let's say it's Sunday night. The weekend is practically over, and on Saturday you had gone to the mall with some friends. You bought a few new pieces of clothes and now you're laying out your clothes for tomorrow, and you're super excited to go to school and show off your new clothes.
It doesn't even need to be new clothes, it just has to have some sort of special element about it. Maybe you're wearing bright red lipstick and it makes you really confident. Or maybe you're wearing those boots that have heels, and you don't normally wear heels to school or work. Something is just special. So when you get to school on Monday, you feel fierce. Beautiful. Like everyone has got their eyes on you. It is such a good feeling.
You feel powerful and fresh and perfect. And no one can touch that. No one can change it. You'll feel like that the whole day. It sounds stupid, but it's true: you're more confident, happier, nicer, and you probably look amazing. I'm not the only one who feels like this sometimes... am I? I'm wearing one of those outfits today, and I just really do feel powerful and fierce. It could sound conceited, but it's true. I don't mean to sound full of myself, but if you really think about it, I'm sure you can understand what I'm talking about.
So when you're wearing an outfit like that, you feel so amazing. The real question is: how can we achieve this feeling everyday? If you wore the same type of perfect outfit everyday then eventually you and the people around you would get used to it and it wouldn't be special anymore.
I want to feel magical and powerful like this everyday. So here's what I'm planning to do. First of all, I'm going to start laying out my clothes the night before. I wake up in the morning as a zombie, so picking out a good outfit in the morning is next to impossible. But if I lay everything out the night before, then it both saves time in the morning and ensures that I'll have made great choices! Next, I'm going to wear different types of outfits over the week. I tend to just lean toward wearing jeans, boots, and a tee-shirt everyday. But the littlest things can make the difference. Just wearing a skirt instead of jeans or a blouse instead of a tee can really switch it up!
Another tip that I have is to not waste it all on one outfit. Let's say you have a new pair of boots. Whenever I first wear a new pair of shoes to school I honestly feel like I'm on cloud nine. The rest of the outfit could be completely boring, but one new or great item makes me feel amazing. So let's say you have the perfect outfit and two pairs of shoes that work with it. A new pair and an one old. Wear the old pair and save the new ones for a day when you don't have an exciting outfit! It will just make sure that you have even more days when you feel this energy and power because you have the perfect outfit.
If you guys ever have those days when you feel like you're in an amazing outfit, then snap a picture, email it to me, and I'll show it in a video! I hope you understand what I mean by this. And I hope that I don't sound crazy haha. Anyway, I hope you liked reading, and if you have any ideas for new blog posts, feel free to share them! Yay for more consistent blogging! I love you all, i really do. Have a nice day! Be happy :)
PS: Waking up doesn't mean your dreams are over, it means it's time to make them come true :)
Hey everyone! Happy Friday! So I have been living this ongoing battle against the oils in my skin. I naturally have extremely oily skin, and have to powder at least every two hours or I end up looking like I have an oil well on my face! But my problem is that over the summer, the “dewy” look is in, and even if I don’t powder too often, right after I powder, my face is completely matte, which doesn’t follow the trend!
Hey guys. So today I decided that I would blog about knock offs. So in your city, I am sure that there are places where you can go to buy fake products, shoes, clothes, and accessories. I never really understood this, but if you like the way something looks, and you don't want to pay $700 for it, then why is it frowned upon to buy a fake?
There are many fashion related things that are made faux. Shoes, handbags, makeup, clothing, and much more! So the question is:
"WHY is it frowned upon to buy something that is fake?"
I have heard many opinions on this, but today I want to hear YOURS! Comment on this post or send me an email telling me your opinion on this. I will feature EVERY opinion in a video coming up in a few weeks, so leave your YouTube username in the comment so that I can give you credit! If you wish to be kept anonymous, then you can just tell me that in the comment or email!
Thank you everyone! And keep checking back daily for more reader included questions and and blogs for you all!

Hey guys! So last night I made an order on maccosemtics.com and ordered some eyeshadows (all using my own money). Well because it is the holiday season, if you spend over $50 and put in the promo code "SPEED", you get free overnight shipping. So it is going to get here on Tuesday!
When I order online, I become very antsy and keep checking the online package tracker to see if it it here yet, and while I am waiting, I watch a bunch of reviews on the product on YouTube. And then I realized that I should make a home for the eyeshadows in my makeup collection!
I was keeping my MAC eyeshadows in a little silverware organizer that held ten shadows. And I currently have 12, so I put two on top. Anyways, I got to thinking, and I had no idea where I am going to put my new ones because I am pretty much completely out of room in my storage cart! I know! It sounds crazy! I filled up an entire cart full of makeup!
So now I don't know what to do with my eyeshadows! If anyone has any ideas, then it would really help! I was just going to order myself a nail polish rack because it seemed to work well for Blair (juicystar07), but I realized that people would hate on me for "copying" Blair, and decided against it.
If anyone has any ideas for me at all, then I would really like to hear them! I am always into reorganizing my makeup, so if you have any tips for other product storage, then definitely leave it in the comments and I will be sure to check it out!
Thank you all for always being SO supportive and have a good day! Lastly, do you guys want me to film a MAC haul when I get the products in? Becuase I know that I have been doing a LOT of hauls lately. Like an obscene amount! But I like filming them, and I have heard that most of you like watching them. So please also comment with the answer to that!

Hey guys! So I am going to start something for 2012! I am going to be doing a monthly "It Girl"! I wasn't exactly sure if you guys would be interested in it, so I decided to do it for December of 2011 as a test run!
The monthly "It Girl" will be a YouTuber who has something unique about her that is either: setting trends, resolving teen issues, or something completely outrageous! And the first official monthly "It Girl" is...
So far, she only has a few videos, but they are edited beautifully, and are full of personality! I want all of you to support her as a new YouTuber and go ahead and subscribe! I will be featuring her in blog posts this month, and she will be mentioned in videos!
Why she is different:
TheMakeupGuru99 is a sweet girl and does not pretend to be a know-it-all about makeup as many beauty gurus do when they are starting out (myself included). She is fresh, new, and creative!
Her personality is completely different from other gurus, and she is definitely a trend follower!
Many beauty gurus on YouTube only do beauty videos, but TheMakeupGuru99 does fashion videos as well! Her fashion sense is exquisite and unique!
I really hope that you all check out her videos and support her on YouTube! Help her get to 100 subscribers by January!
I really hope that you guys check TheMakeupGuru99 out on YouTube! If YOU want to be next month's "It Girl" comment with your YouTube username and tell me why YOU deserve it! You can also nominate other gurus to be next month's "It Girl"!
And remember - don't forget to have fun with your makeup!
Okay. So I live in "L.A.", and it poured rain ALL day yesterday. I started off my morning normally and straightened my hair. This was an obvious mistake. The entire day I was hiding under my umbrella and my hood to attempt to keep my hair straight.
Here is what I wish I would have done.
Hair. Start off by taking a shower the night before. You want to use a deep conditioner because that will keep your hair from frizzing in the high humidity. Once you are out, you will want to quickly brush out and part your hair. I would recommend a deep side part. Then take a hair gel or - my personal favorite - spray gel. You will want to scrunch your hair together into a messy bun. Let it dry in the bun, and then carefully, let it out. Apply the gel all over the hair and a very fine amount onto the top of your head. Don't use too much or it might look greasy! Then braid your hair into one long braid with the gel intact. And you are done!
Clothes. First of all, a day when it rains is NOT a day when you should be wearing shorts or a skirt. Wear blue jeans that are dark wash, because that way when they get wet, the water won't show. Wear whatever kind of shirt you want and try to wear some sort of sweatshirt or coat with a hood. This will save you in the end.
Makeup. I recommend wearing a tinted moisturizer instead of powder or liquid foundation, because that will not droop off your face if it gets wet. Of course wear waterproof mascara and eyeliner, and wear cream shadows instead of powder. But make sure that you use an eyeshadow primer so that the shadows don't end up creasing. Try something daring like a red or berry lip. That will immediately brighten the day.
Accessories. As far as shoes and accessories go, wear shoes that you don't really care about or rain boots. The only accessory you might need is a scarf, and an umbrella which is a must-have!
That is really it, so if you have any other questions, or comments on this then don't be afraid to leave them in the comments section or find a way to contact me through the "Contact Me" page on my official website.
Hey guys! So I recently got in a package from Rimmel, and thought that I should share with you the content! I am going to film a tutorial using the products tomorrow!
A picture with the products is below!
Glam Eyes Original Mascara: I am super impressed with this mascara! It gives me SO much length and volume with absolutely NO clump!!! You can't get any better than that!
Glam Eyes Single Shadow: I was super surprised with the pigmentation of this shadow, because I have tried the quads, and none of the shadows in them were very pigmented, but the singles are fantastic!
Eyeliner That I Forget The Name of: I wanted this eyeliner, because I use brown gel liner on a daily basis, but I can't get into the inner corners to line my eyes with the liner brush, so I figured that a pencil would work - and it did!
Anyways, I hope that ya'll are having a great summer! It is almost over and it is making me sad!!! Alright, well I really hope that you guys enjoy the video that I am going to film today! It is a surprise!
During every season, there are always trends. They can either be fashion or beauty. Here is what is in for this summer!
The fishtail braid is a classy braid that you can wear casually or dressed up. Normally, braids would be in for spring, but this year, they are very in for summer! If you need to learn how to do a fishtail braid, then there will be a video below this post explaining it!
Thick brows! Thick brows are really in this summer! They make you look more youthful, and just naturally beautiful! So try not to over-pluck!
Orange-Red lipstick. I know that I love wearing red lipstick, but it can be a bit harsh during the summer. So just wear a red lipstick with some orange in it! I have a tutorial coming up with this lip look!
Highlighting! So for those girls out there who are super pale, I have some good news for you! So you know how highlighters normally don't show up on your skin because it is already so light? Well once you have a bit of a summer glow, use a shimmery highlighter on your skin! Who says you can't look nice and dewy during summer? There will be a video below on how to highlight!
Strappy sandals! So everyone wears flip flops during summer... but those can be a bit too casual, so just get some strappy sandals, and you will be set!
That is really all for now! Send me a picture of you wearing one of those trends at: firstname.lastname@example.org!
Okay. I am absolutely, completely, positively aware that confidence isn't really fashion related, but I thought that it was an important subject that should go on my fashion blog. So I haven't always been so confident. When I say this, I'm not saying that I am super confident at the moment, but I am definitely more confident now than I used to be. Part of the confidence came from my YouTube, and other parts came from getting older, developing who I am, and lastly being hated on.
If you want to just watch a video on how I mainly became confident, then watch the video below this post. The video describes how I became the girl that I am today.
Starting off you should be completely comfortable with yourself, because if you don't accept who you are, then why should other people? This can take a whilem because you might accept yourself at one point, but you might make a drastic change (like me), and have to start from the beginning. It is kind of like getting a new hair cut. People get their hair trimmed all the time (these are like small changes that are easy to accept), but whn you hop off your hair and get an entirely new hair do, it can take time to get used to.
The main rule to accepting yourself is that you have to accept who you want to be, not who others want you to be. Because here is a difference between being confident while singing in the shower and being confident while singing in front of an audience.
I hope that this helps some of you girls/guys who are struggling with confidence, and trying to figure out who YOU really want to be and who you are right now.
Comment if you have any other questions (you can leave the comment as "Anonymous" if you are embarrassed to ask.
PS: The video below is a video telling how I became me. Watch it if you are interested!
I am a teenager... I am pretty sure that you all know that. And lately I have been getting pretty sick of all of the magazine articles, videos, books, and just people in general that talk about "Teen Makeup"! I am annoyed with these for a few different reasons.
1. Most of the time, the people who are writing or talking about "Teen Makeup" are women who aren't teenagers themselves. There are a few different reasons why this bothers me. First of all, these women don't have the same hormones in their bodies that we have, which make our skin oily, and prone to breakouts, so a lot of the products that they use that rejuvenate their aging skin will make ours oily. Also, I do realize that at some point, these women were teenagers, but they were teenagers a while back, and times have changed - makeup is different, stereotypes are different, trends are different, and well frankly, the girls themselves are growing up in a completely different world!
2. Girls these days are wearing more mature makeup than their mothers did. But not only is the amount of makeup different, but the girls are different because they generally know how to apply makeup pretty superiorly, because they are watching so many makeup tutorials on the internet. So the amount of makeup that our mothers wore may not be exactly what is right for the modern girl...
3. Why should teenager's makeup be thought of any different than older women? Because the only way to show an example of teen makeup is by looking at the makeup that teens are wearing on their own. Sure, many people say that teens should wear loud fun colors - but those are more age appropriate for women of an older age. So the whole "Teen Makeup" thing is completely pointless in my opinion...
PS: Leave your opinion on this matter below.
