So I picked up this lipstick about a month ago, because I found the color kind of pretty, and from the outside of the tube, the color looked like a nude pink - but boy was I wrong. It is a muted berry with a lot of pink tones. And it is pretty much my favorite lipstick ever! I actually filmed my "Best Products of 2011" video yesterday, and I included this lipstick as the best lipstick of 2011! I try a LOT of lipsticks, so for one to be awarded that title, it is a big deal. The lipstick is a creme finish. And goes on very opaque. I have a problem with streaky lipsticks (I will have a video on it soon), so I was very excited to find that this lipstick is not streaky at all! The lasting power of this is about 2-3 hours if you are eating. And 4 hours without eating. I really recommend it! I think that this could work well for ALL skin tones, and it is perfect for this season! If any of you happen to already have it or purchase it, then please contact me telling me if you feel the same way! If there are any other questions or comments concerning the lipstick, then just go to the "Contact Me" page and get in touch with me about it! If anyone has any ideas for products that YOU love that I should try, then I would love to hear about them! Have a good week!
Rimmel Clean Finish Liquid Foundation
I saw this foundation at CVS for around $4, and I just couldn't pass it up! I hadn't seen very many reviews on YouTube, so I figured that I should try it and do one! The product comes in an okay shade range. In the picture to the right, you can see a few of the colors (from left to right: lightest, middle, and darkest) there are about 6 colors. The foundation was not too thick and applied flawlessly into my skin. The color matched me very well (I am #200 Soft Beige) and blended beautifully! I have very oily skin, and I was afraid that this product might make me appear oily, but it didn't! I have to use blotting powder about every 90 minutes with even my favorite liquid foundation, because I have extremely oily skin, but this lasted completely matte for around 80 minutes. Another problem that I thought that I might have was patchiness. In the winter, my skin is still very oily, but around my lips, nose, and chin, I get dry patches from liquid foundation. This normally happens when I am using a foundation for oily skin types because they have a more drying formula, but this (in a strange way) kept me moisturized and matte! I would say that this provided medium coverage as most Rimmel foundations do, with the exception of the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation which provides full coverage. This foundation actually has an applicator. It has a wand attached to the lid, and on the end of the wand, there is a spatula. This allows you to take product out of the container while avoiding a messy situation. Even though I have oily skin, products rarely break me out, so I am not a good test to see if this product would do that, but from what I tested, this product was completely perfect for oily skin types, and because I found it quite moisturizing, it would probably work well for dry skin types as well! The product did not apply cakey or streaky. I highly recommend this foundation, and for the low price, it is a steal! If you try it, then definitely email me and tell me how it works for you! Look out for next week's product! If there are any other questions about this product, then just go to the "Contact Me" page, and fill out the contact form!
Covergirl Wetslicks Amazemint Lipgloss
These are liglossses from Covergirl that come in a wide range of colors! They are very smooth, and not at all sticky! But what makes these glosses different than any of the other ones that you can find at the drugstore? These glosses have Crest whitening scope in them that whitens your teeth! But wait - there is more! These all smell very minty, and the mint/peppermint taste goes into your mouth and makes your breath fresh! They aren't called the "Amazemint" lipglosses for nothing...
Urban Decay Primer Potion (In The New Tube)
Urban Decay Cosmetics' top products has almost always been the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. The product maximizes eyeshadow wear longevity, makes the color pop more, and the most important factor - decreases the chance of eyeshadow creasing. They used to have this in a genie sort of bottle, and it was next to impossible to get the product out, and in the end, you would have to cut open the tube (it is hard to do), and cut out the product into a pot of some sort. Urban Decay received so many complaints about the old packaging that back in October, they released the "Professional Size Tube" which was much bigger than the normal Primer Potion and was in tube form. This was their trial of the tube, and the limited edition "Professional Size Tube" went out of stock almost immediately. So in late March, Urban Decay released the Urban Decay Primer Potion in a tube. This tube had 0.034 more product than the original primer potion. Now you get all of the benefits of the primer without the hassle of cutting open the bottle. There is a price increase of $1, but the products is a million times better - so it is worth it.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
I have been completely obsessed with this product lately! I bought it late last week, because I needed a new concealer, and I was deciding between the "Light" shade and the "Medium" shade, and I ended up deciding to go with the "Light" shade. When I got home, I freaked out, because when I put some of it on my hand, it was way too light! So then I tried some under my eyes, and decided to just try to blend it in. I blended beautifully! I ended up being happy that I had chosen the "Light" shade in the end, because it gave a very nice brightening effect to under my eyes. I haven't used it for covering up any acne areas, but it is phenomenal for the under eye area!
Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara
I have been absolutely obsessed with this mascara lately! I bought it in the color "Brownish Black", because that is normally the color that I get in Maybelline mascaras. The "spoon brush" as Maybelline calls it is absolutely amazing, because it allows you to get many different types of lashes depending on the way that you apply it. When you purchase this mascara, you just need to be aware of one thing. This mascara is NOT going to make your eyelashes look like false eyelashes. What it is good for is a good mascara. If you like very defining mascaras, then this is not for you, because this does have a tiny bit of a clump (but I find the tiny bit of clump perfect for your lashes). Lastly, this mascara doesn't dry super quickly like most mascaras, which allows you to do multiple coats without the mascara getting extra clumpy. I love this product, you HAVE to try it! PS: If you get this mascara at Target, it is only about $5!
