Weeks passed and Sharon Reynolds moved out of the Summers’ house. It was all he fault... and she couldn’t admit it to herself.
Two weeks prior, when Jocelyn’s parents were going through the divorce, they had settled on Sharon keeping the house and Paul moving out.
For as long as Jocelyn could remember, her father, Paul, had always been the provider for the family. Sharon had been one of those mothers who shopped. A lot. Money was constantly coming and leaving the hands of the Summers’ through Sharon. She was constantly betting with her friends and not winning.
It had all started when Sharon had made a bet with her friend Patty Larson and lost. The bet was over a hand at cards. Sharon was a very confident and cocky woman, and it is because of those two characteristics that she won almost every bet that she made with Patty - except for this one. Patty had a full house... and Sharon had nothing.
The game ended, and Patty won. The bet was for $4000. Patty was a saleswoman at Best Buy, so she didn’t make that much for a living... she just gambled with Sharon to win her rent. So when the time came for the house to be dealt with during the divorce, it went to Paul. Why? You might ask... well at one time Sharon had bet her car to Patty, and Paul was afraid that the house would become subject to one of his former wife’s bets.
And this was legally very easy to do. Paul had bought the house as a wedding present for his wife Sharon, so it purely belonged to him.
Jocelyn hadn’t seen her mother Sharon in now three weeks, as Sharon claimed to be house hunting with money that she had gotten when her parents had passed away four years prior.
Times were a changing, and the oddest part yet...? Nobody knew of this until the divorce had been finalized, and Sharon Reynolds returned to her old home for a dinner. At the dinner she announced some very interesting news.
Sharon bragged of her resort. There was a spa, pool, and help around the clock. What this translated to was a trailer park. Sharon had a neighbor with a hot tub, and plenty of neighbors to assist her when she was setting up her new home and moving in.
Four days later, Sharon had invited her daughter, Jocelyn to come and visit her new home. Jocelyn was mainly going to be living with her mother and staying with her father on the weekends.
Excited about seeing the resort in which she would be living at, Jocelyn invited Nadine along. Paul Summers was at work and couldn’t take the girls to Jocelyn’s new home, so they had Nadine’s father Travis take them.
And when they arrived, the resort that Sharon Reynolds was now living in was different than anything the girls could have ever imagined...
Just a girl...
